The clamps are manually milled in wood (beech). If I needed another, I would make the clamping part on the 3D printer.
On this lathe, the holder replaces one of the retaining bolts for the gear box cover.
On the mini lathe, the clamp is placed on a magnet base for easy removal.

I based my holder on you tuber Mark Presling's design. I am quite happy with the range of adjustments and rigidity.

That's a very tidy installation. Nice!
I used to live in Oakland, and was amazed by the number of machinists, artists, blacksmiths, woodworkers and talented trade people. I miss it, but just couldn't do Bay Area traffic any more.

Hi everyone, regards from Poland!
Like many others, I built my version of TouchDRO - thanks to Yuriy's awesome work, thanks to his free information, schematics and software.
I want to publicly thank the Creator here - on the Hobby-Machinist Forum - for the great work: this is the best place for this, I think.
And since I can present my tablet mount here - here it is; provides several degrees of freedom. It's a simplified "pantograph" and several rotating joints that allow for any position of the screen for reading:

welcome to HM, very nice. reminds me of the old CRT holders.. which I never had but wanted.

Thank you for your kind words!
Since I used SHAHE 5403 capacitive scales, I attached their small separate simplified displays to the back of the visible PMMA sheet - in case of any failure of the main readout, I can use them.
I know that capacitive scales are poorly rated and not recommended by Yuri, but I bought them for the above reason. Also, their resolution of 0.01mm is completely sufficient for me, and they are very cheap (it is true that up to 300 mm)..
However, it turned out - fortunately! - that SHAHE 5403-xxxF scales is "understood" by TouchDRO soft and everything works well.
PS: Excuse me for any possible language errors, please: my English is poor, I use a translator and grammar corrector :)

I’m using this with fire hd10. Less than $20.
