I've got a Tippman Boss leather stitcher. It's like playing a slot machine and sewing at the same time. That makes it easier to keep your fingers out of the way, but is slower. Although 3/4" of leather isn't a problem either, so. Just looked on line, the new ones don't look the same anymore. Fit and finish is too fancy looking. Maybe there're better now...but maybe not...
I've also got my grandmothers singer treadle machine sitting in the garage attic. Haven't really found a need to pull it down yet. One of these days I should go through that thing. Wife has her grandmothers Pfaff, so the singer really isn't needed. Although, it's one of them fancy new ones, maybe from the 70's or 80's.
