Here is the info on my BP Mill,
J head - Ser # J-22610
Knee Ser # 95594
Has a 1 HP- Fair Banks motor, 220 3PH
speeds are 80 to 2740 RPM's.
Has a tacked on Brass plate with USN 7 - 7 - 82 date on it,
that is just under where the V-ram pivots.
I think this a 82 yr model ?
I bought it in 1986 for $2200, with a vise and other tooling etc.
I had to go to Stockton, CA Navy yard to pick it up.
When I sent it out for it's check up/repair,
I want to change the motor to 1 ph,
to match all the other equipment,
and get rid of the other elect motor that is needed to run the mill.
Does the above info have any thing to do with the checkup/repair?
Tia,
Don
