Reaming experience advice appreciated

The bushings to be reamed were steel, made from DOM tubing.
The guide rod needs to be smaller than the ID of the bushings and the guide cone needs to be sized to make contact with the ID.
The attached pic shows it in use; the guide cone is on the far right hand side.

So did you get chatter on the surface of your bushing?

Also how much of a cut were you making with the reamer?

I think I need to make a sacrificial bushing and get on with making some experimental cuts to see what I get.

Reamer cuts are typically very light, probably around .001" or so per pass, total maybe around .002 to .005 taken off of the diameter.
For my particular application it helps to go at it from each side a little at a time, to ensure that everything lines up.
There was no chatter, everything worked out well. the welds were done using TIG so were not hard, but it caused the bushings to "shrink" considerably.
