I have an opportunity to obtain an Atlas 10" Lathe mica undercutter for armature work which has a mounting base part number 9-511. I own an Atlas 618 and the mounting base for that is part number M6-511. Is there someone who could offer comment on the likelihood of being able to modify the 10" base to attach to the 618 slider? These attachments are rare. The undercutter motors appear to be identical but the cross slide bases for the respective two lathes while similar, are different. I would be greatful for comments on whether and how this might be accomplished or conversely, why it can't.

Thank you.....Mike

I have found a post that describes that the Atlas 10" & 12" have bores 1.5" whereas the Atlas 618 bore is measured at 1.23-1.25 so there is a difference. Is there a way to make the two compatible?......Thank you.......Mike
