POTD- PROJECT OF THE DAY: What Did You Make In Your Shop Today?

I'm doing the bachelor thing this year at home, as my wife is in Maryland still with the grandkids. So pizza it is tonight. (Forgot to defrost the chicken, what an amateur.). That's ok, it goes with beer very well. A single malt for a chaser should finish it (me!) off.
Crock pot and meat of the week is how I survived my bouts of bachelorhood. A cast iron fry pan and a pressure cooker for the rest.:)

I won't starve. Made a good stir fry yesterday. Had the chicken defrosted, I was going to make something decent tonight. No matter, I'll make it tomorrow. If I need something to carry me over a couple days, I'll make a pot of chili. Lots of options!

Ah, the good old days of regional beers:

Narragansett/Falstaff, Natty Boh and Lager (there’s only one!). For some reason reminds me of Art Donovan: maybe because he had a beer store after he retired.
Those brands mentioned bring back memories of working on the returnable bottle line at the Eden NC Miller Brewery. Many different brands I'd never heard of. Bottle coasters, cigarette butts and ashes, even the occasional live scorpion.
When we started contract brewing, we brewed more than a few of those regional brands. Oh, the liberties taken with the recipes... lol
The Miller can, 1st brew 1978. The Lite can, last brew 2016.
Happy New Year Everyone!!
or as my wife says-
CHÚC MỪNG NĂM MỚI

A long time ago my Dad & I built him a new house. Most quitting times the guys had a cold beer and we set the empties on a wide flange beam over the garage door. It was then bricked in. Some day someone will get a great collection from the 70's. I don't care for the hard stuff and used to have a bit of wine but haven't had that for a few years. Getting old, no more parties.

Lovely. I had a sip of Bowmore last night, from just around the Isle of Islay from Lagavulin.

My neighbor had a dump truck and was hauling on a road job near here when I was a kid, He would start the day w/a 12 pack behind the seat.
