Very nice! Just checking, do you have the back gear rack pulled out on purpose? I've purchased two 8XX Logans where the rack was installed with the rack set so out is disengaged rather than engaged. Very easy to do. I've walked a couple of members through resetting them, one over the phone. If I'm 100% wrong, sorry just offering some experience. There is a Facebook Logan group & a Groups.io moderated by Scott Logan, a really nice guy, grandson of the founder. Suggest you ask in the groups.io forum, IMHO there are more long term owners there from the Yahoo group days who could have one.Just need a complete saddle.

Some people struggle with getting the rack set correctly with the cam. Seeing the back gear handle pulled out I just thought I would ask. You know about disengaging the bull gear, the big one on the right when using the back gear? The angled cut-out in the headstock is so it can be reached. Just curious, how much trouble did you have re-lubricating the headstock bearings? Not familiar with any lathe just a weekend hack,That’s how I got it. I was wondering why it would fall off when rotated. So I rotated the cam, now it rotates the correct direction. It’s fully engaged at tdc with the lock engaged. That seems correct to me ? Thanks for the heads up View attachment 509013

Welp. I guess that’s another issue. I was just looking how the spindle gets oiled. This is the way I got it. It appears to have new seals and obviously belts so somebody was just there. Are these like the SB’s just oil or grease ?. Just curious, how much trouble did you have re-lubricating the headstock bearings?
