OT Ever Been Ignored by An eBay Vendor?

So this Gigi guy bids on his own stuff? Isn't that against the rules?
totally. And Ebay used to be really good at busting people.

I too have run afoul of gigi. He has definitely gotten worse and he's been on my "no way" list for years. Not hard because he's always way too expensive. There seems to be more of those types all the time. I had a guy that I was interested in his listing and tried a couple of times to ask questions. Mostly to see what was the deal as he had no history and the item was the only thing he'd ever sold. The listing went for a couple of months and he only replied to me AFTER he sold it. Gotta make you wonder. Too many trying to make a killing, not a living.

Yep.
The list of reasons why is as long as your arm.
I usually give it 24hrs and if no response, I pull my offer.
Got better things to do with my time than wonder why or why not a seller doesn’t respond.
I also figure I’m better off in the end if I don’t deal with them…..

I once bid on a large hand tubing bender. The starting bid was quite low, and the shipping was reasonable. When the auction closed, I was the only bidder, and right away I checked out through the Ebay system using Paypal. The seller refused the payment (I don't know how he did that) and simply refused to honor the auction results. Ebay was useless when I tried to get them to honor the auction. Since my money never left Paypal, they wouldn't help me either.

I believe that the seller felt the price was too low and backed out of the contract. Ebay at that time was in a cycle of protecting sellers, so they simply let him get away with it. I'll bet he had to pay Ebay their fee, but felt it was worth it to keep the item and probably sell it locally.

The seller should have set a reserve price if he was worried about it going too cheap

Yep, I've been ignored, usually means they are not accepting the offer or thinking about it.

I never will buy from gigigirl11 because they don't answer questions and when I said why won't you answer they came back with a nasty response. The guy has many dissatisfied customers and he bans them.

There are some great sellers and some who should be banned from selling, but eBay won't remove them.
Amen. I learned that lesson More than 10 years ago.

On a lighter note, I always wanted to ask him why he keeps taking pictures of his fat fingers.
