No, really: I had a small project, turning one of these:

Into this (reinforcing block for a broken foot on my Granddaughter's cheap dresser):

I used my bandsaw to make the through cuts, then a small pull saw to cut as much as possible of the pocket and started digging out a wood chisel to remove the rest of the waste. Then I remembered that I have this:

It took longer to clean up the saw dust than to make the cuts.
If I can't remember what tools I have (even with my wondrous labelling system), I must have too many – which I guess is better than "two" (or more) many, like @mmcmdl.
