This one caught me by surprise as a new fave after 20 years of spoiling myself on Filson ranger belts (only took two, and it's not because one wore out). Anyway, it is not leather (!) but it's a dang nice belt. (@GeneT45) It's technically a Safariland branded Nexbelt, so there are others out there that are flashier if desired. It's thin and crazy stiff, which works out really well- I didn't buy it expecting it to be a daily, but there it is.

A lot of the cheap belts are ground up leather remnants bound together with plastic something. You can tell real by price.

I used to use a 5.11 belt on my workpants. the belt I showed was for casual clothes. I also use a leather belt full grain that I got at an army navy store. That is just plain old leather.

I hear they’ve got fancy vegan leather these days. I always thought the old leather was vegan made, or at least grass fed, to begin with.
