My easy solution to No More Clogged Spray Paint Rattle Cans

I use acetone to clean the nozzles. Soaking a dried up nozzle in acetone and blowing it out with compressed air will usually return it to service. I also save nozzles from spent cans to replace damaged nozzles..
I have a large collection of saved nozzles.

I'm referring to when there's no air left in the can.
Yes I realise that, but if you clean the nozzles like I showed and not invert the can to clear, you would never need to re-pressurize the can because you won't run out of propellent. That was the whole point of the video hint. I spray lots of small parts with my steam engine hobby and I want the cans to last for years.

I just flip the can upside down, press the nozzle till no product comes out, about 3 seconds. There's more than enough propellant to do this.

Some manufacturer's, like Rustoleum, have these "spray at any angle" cans so you can't clear out the nozzle by inverting and spraying for a few seconds. When I'm done with a job, I remove the nozzle and store in a small jar of acetone and just pull one out when I need to paint something.

That seems like a lot of trouble. What sort of paint are you using that makes that effort worth it?

If I knew I'd be spraying small parts a lot, I'd just buy the little cans at the auto parts store.

What trouble what effort? It takes less than 30 seconds.
