Mounting a 5C Collet Chuck on a PM-1022V/PM-1030V

I did not find anything for DIN. I found plenty for the more common mounting systems (e.g. D1-4), but I don’t know what DIN spec I have.

I don’t understand DIN.

I found this quote from a thread on this forum:

“Here is what I was told by PM, "You can look up the specs for the back plate on the internet, It's a DIN 55027/55022. Also known as "Type C"".”

Yeah, nothing on their website. But it is a type c.

As far as (replacement) studs for the adapter plate, I found this:

It seems like it would be easy to buy the wrong stud. There are thread sizes (e.g. M120), as well as taper sizes (e.g. taper size 11).

I don’t understand where the taper is.

The description of studs above says that 6 studs are needed.

The screenshots below from eBay show a set of 3. This seems more applicable to a PM-1022V or PM-1030V lathe.

The DIN spec is more difficult to buy studs for than camlock pins used in, e.g, a D1 standard lathe chuck.

I searched for hours to find a backplate when PM was out of stock. I found nothing except the Grizzly backplate ( as mentioned in thread that you referenced earlier) that needs to be modified to work correctly.
