Models for grinding HSS Lathe Tools

Lots of t/mills around here, $50 & up.
Any make or model better than another?
HP?
I had junked one out years ago before I got into this hobby, and still have the motor but all the rest is long gone.
Has anyone authored a thread on building one from scratch or a kit?

Lots of builds in the SHOP-MADE TOOLING forum, on YouTube are free builds. HomeMadeTools.com has a lot, but they have a PayWall.

I just saw Grizzly has a relatively affordable 2x42" belt grinder. Currently $299 which makes it comparable to a decent 8" bench grinder.

Of course they offer this now that I am fairly committed with a set of plans, materials and emotions to a DIY 2x72".

I would think the Grizzly grinder would do the job fine. Looked at that one for my son. I built my 2x72 a couple years ago and have been very satisfied with it even though its only single speed. Being you have sort of started on one makes it a tough choice. Being made by you and to your needs might be a plus.

The ceramic belts do well grinding tools.
