McMaster-Carr, +1!

I have only had maybe 2 total LED failures over the past decade or so, not counting physical damage, this is out of over a hundred lamps. However, LED's, like fluorescents, do loose brightness over time. I think, the lifespan rating is based on when they get to 70% of their original output.

I recently replaced all 30 lamps in my shop from the "60" watt to the "100" watt (equivalent). The difference was amazing! The 60s were about 8 years old, th 100s at that time were still very expensive. Scored the replacements at Costco for only a little over $1 each.

Anyway, 20K hours or not, LEDs have way less failure rate than Incandescent lamps, are much more robust to physical damage and cost about 75% less to operate. Well worth the slightly increased up front cost, IMHO

I have 3 driveway lampposts with 7W/40Watt equivalent LED’s on a photocell. They have been going strong for 12 years now! A hurricane actually shook the posts so hard it unscrewed one of them, it was on the ground the next morning.
