Got out of the Hospital Saturday, 11 days total.
I have had neuropathy in my feet for years now. Last week my left foot blew up.
Got to the ER, and I had an ulcer the size of a dime on the bottom of my foot.
Luckily it did not get into the bone, like last year.
Need to start looking at the bottoms of the feet with a mirror regularly now.

The joys of growing old.

I'm confused. I have neuropathy, so does my wife (to the point she has a spinal stimulator). Are you saying the neuropathy caused the ulcer? It's not diabetes? I agree, at a certain age, you need to get up on a lift and get everything scoped. Good deal this didn't get to the bones...that sounds BAD.

I too have neuropathy in my feet following last year's chemotherapy. If that can lead to ulcers, I'd appreciate knowing more about it.

The ulcer was caused by pressure being shifted after a bunionectomy last year.
I did not know the ulcer was there due to no feeling in the feet.

Type II here and numberous spinal injuries (30 year helicopter SAR). Sciatica and neuropathy in both legs. Learned a while back to check the undersides of my feet at least once a week and seldom go anywhere besides bedroom to the bathroom in bare feet...

Also wear white socks.

Also wear white socks.
I typically don’t wear socks in summer, but I do have to wear them to bed. Often, just the weight of the sheets hurts my toes and they will cold sweat because I can never tell if they’re sweating because they are warm or cold.

Diabetes sucks….

@Jim F

I am very sorry for your health challenges.

I thank you for the warning for others to pay attention!
