I think this is my next project car

Just throwing out a crazy idea here. Fly to NCjeeper land, rent a truck (Penske, Ryder, U-Haul) big enough to put the 55 inside (20ft box?). Ratchet strap all 4 tires to the walls or floor deck. A rollback flatbed tow truck at both ends of the trip and Bob's your Uncle.

Alternatively, maybe a H-M member(s) wants a machine moved from East to West and will help defer your costs. Put the 55 on a trailer (or the machine(s)) as appropriate.

Ignore the rip-off artists. See the USA for your Chevrolet . . .

I agree with extropic if you have the time, that sounds like a good option. Other than the flying part.

The flying part is complete chaos! Co workers had flights cancelled both ways. Makes me wonder if it is a bait and switch set up, as the $800 round trip turned into $1600 return!

Getting it myself it not an option for reasons I've already mentioned.

Thanks pdentrem for the link . I read the article and contacted gartho logistics, waiting for his response.

Crossing my fingers for you, I don't know about shipping cars, but I've shipped a bunch of machines.
How much did Reliable want?

How's the transportation going?

Sometimes I get tools, and for the last 3 years it's been nova parts. Now all of a sudden totally out of the blue I get 55 parts.

That commercial about google watching you is right. I also think alexa is in on it also.
