All other sites may not be legitimate. I suggest you completely uninstall your copy and install FreeCAD from the link above. Maybe you got a buggy or incomplete download.

A lot of legitimate repositories still have older versions as well. I second @WobblyHand 's suggestion, it's the only way to ensure that you've got the latest and greatest. (Although some of the latest and greatest looks a little different than the release candidates used in the tutorials mentioned.)
I did the driver update last night and it said my drivers are the most current version. so now all I need to do it to figure out how to un-install the copy I have.
OpenGL 1.1 was released in 1997 and replaced with 1.2 in 1998. Opengl 2.0 was released in 2004. If this equipment will support win10, it should have no issues with a much newer GL.
