Good suggestion. In my case, I had no choice. I don't know anyone with an arbor press near me. I love the feel of the arbor press.Not sure of your procedure, but I'm told you must advance, release, advance, release on a hyd press to stop any angularity that is happening. I've also been told broaching on a hyd press is a no no.

I had a chance to buy a Famco that was too big for $150
Well at $80 a piece for this little fellow, I find that rather inconvenient.Sometimes broaches will hog in, especially on short pieces, and similarly will overload on holes that are too long, causing misalignment and breakage.
I'd have to put it in the yard as folk art.No such thing as too big! Especially for that price ---

I retained a nice 3" piece. It was the largest of the scattered pieces.Save your broken broach.
