Hemingway Knurling Tool drawing help

Keeping tabs on this thread. I have the same kit. This will answer several questions as I get ready to start some of these kits over this and next year…

The hole holds down an annoying small part that fits into a groove on the pin that the cutter rides on. Googling around it looks like most have taken a different approach
I made a straddle knurler that used a small screw and washer to retain the HSS pins. The washer engages a small cut in the pin. This both retains the pin and prevents it from rotating. Plans were generated by Mikey (RIP). https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/a-straddle-knurler-for-the-sherline-lathe.83843/ I used HSS for the pins, so they'd last a while. So far, the pins are in good shape.

Pictures liberated from Mikey's thread. This works so well on my mini-lathe, that this year I will scale up the design for my 10x22. I do my knurling on the mini right now because I don't have anything as effective for my 10x22.

I got a lot of the little pieces done, all the brass parts, made from bearing bronze instead. Also having a "good time" with Fusion360 to figure out both fusion and the dimensions from the drawing.

Deviating a bit from the topic, I really think doing something like creating the models you're working on, is the very best way to learn CAD. You can do exercises all day without learning much, but when you're figuring out your own project you really start learning.
