I’ve never even seen a can like that, but I would test it to see if it’s still viable.
We reordered out usual two bottles of blue for the shop and they sent us two one gallon cases.
When we called the supplier they said they got a skid of these with the pint bottle PN on them and didn’t know how to change it in their system so they shipped these out at pint bottle price and we could do as we pleased with them.
Their currently 5yrs past date and still seem fine.
Even after people take as much home as they will ever use we’ll still have more than we will ever need.
Wanted 2 pints, wound up with 12 gallons.
I had an analogous experience with a case of milcon purple anaerobic flange sealant that landed in my lap. I have a couple tubes left that probably expired fifteen years ago. Still works great, cures completely, and is good for a number of loctite type uses, from flanges to threads and sometimes sleeves (tight clearances only). As long as it is still the right consistency liquid or gel, it should work just fine.
