Drilling 316 SS

Nice looking results, but why 316 (or other SS)?
The owner of the shop I used to work in always said I have “the golden touch”. He was pointing out that my fingerprints would rust metal surfaces overnight. I am constantly wiping down tools and parts with wd40. Hopefully not these. That’s one reason but the main reason is I had the material left over from a job. I have the 1.75” and 2” die holders yet to build and then the handles out of half inch.

Gotcha

I've drilled a lot of 316L SS while working in an acid plant. As others have said lots of down pressure, lots of lube, HSS bits worked just fine.
