Would actually be better to replace the ball bearings with .145” round stock angle cut on one end. Applies holding pressure more uniformly. The ball bearings act like the high-heeled shoe concept where a 100 pound woman can apply 1600 psi on a 1/4 x 1/4 heel. My .02
