Some pics of todays work on the cross slide lead screw for the Clausing 5913. I took the nuts out and am considering brazing it. I would appreciate any feedback on the audio .

I decided to go ahead and braze it with Oxy-Acte . Went very well. I've been welding for at least 45 maybe 50 years and this is the first time I actually followed the instructions for brazing. I always used to just set my acte at around 7 at the torch and oxy about 20 at the torch. Googled it today and they said to always use more acte than oxy when brazing. Recommended 15 psi acte at the torch and 5 psi oxy at the torch. I think I actuall used about 12 and 5 and man does it make for much better control. And it doesn't over cook the bronze. Here are the pics . Its cooling off tonight and I'll re assemble it tomorrow.
