IIRC, High Standard made them for J.C, Higgins/Sears. My granddad had a 20-ga straight barrel and I had a 20-ga with a polychoke.

Well shoot! I once had a 20ga Sears bolt gun - I had no idea Hi-Standard might've made it.

If one is awake late in the night, would it be theoretically possible to make a 20-gauge slug round longer than the chamber, with a sabot to seat in the barrel?

Bonus question, would you stand behind it and pull the trigger?
