ATF letter

well it will be a while before I can afford the plans, if ever. But it's always nice to wish.
Me too . I'm so broke now the hospitals suggesting charity care help. Gotta love them they take everything for years and then they offer help when it's gone.

I've run around 1000 rounds through the gun but have problems with extraction of the spent rounds. At times almost need a ram rod down the barrel to knock out the spent cartridge. I've got a spare barrel for some experimenting, was suggested by another builder to put a 1-2 deg. taper on the chamber to help pull the rounds.

Bruce,
Here's the drawing from SAAMI notice the taper in the chamber.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the info! I see Brownells has .22 LR reamers for around $50. Probably the best way for me to go. Better than trying to take a 0.254" ream at an angle in the compound or trying to bore!

Best regards, Bruce

Bruce,
I forgot to mention, the chamber depth on the RG-G drawing
is .800 , that’s a little short, and the one from ASSMI is .818
With the deeper chamber means more variety or ammunition
Good luck

I called this big Foot because I used some
3” diameter brass stock I had.
Had a couple pounds of brass in the shop vac
when I finished

Beautiful work Jerry, I really want to do this project. All I need is the time! Thanks for sharing.

Seems the thing to be careful about is if the plans are for 22 Short or 22 LR. These are for 22 LR.

Just wondering, has anyone seen one in 22 mag? Would that possibly cause to many issues in a rapid fire 'firearm'?
