Planers large and small. The smaller one is hand operated. Now, the gray machine is special. It is a Fellows Gear Shaper #59. The 9 is the size. The 5 is for 50 made in 1950.

We have a member named Frank D. He set it up and we got charged 10.00 each to get the upstairs tour. They would not let ud photogragh the Library though. It covers 1/3d of the upstairs. I have some more pics to post tomorrow.
24inch X 16 feet. The Steady Rest will take 6.5 inches and weighs in at a hefty 210 pounds. That's Mike B. standing by the headstock. He is an even 6 feet tall. That's a 20 inch faceplate under it. The headstock is massive.
Would it be possible to put all those pics in a Powerpoint Presentation with an audio description? Sure would be nice to watch it while having a couple of brown bottles as well Old machines and their unique oily smells evoke memories of past workplaces.......
