7x14 to 7x16 Rebuild

No. Not at all. There were reasons though I am in no mind to get into them.
like i said your toys your money, your time and it is never waisted if it is what you want, and just because i cannot see the reason does not mean you don't have 1, but for the life of me i cannot see it (again, i do not need to).

So, I'm thinking of putting this on my 7x14:

What do you guys think?

Seriously though, I have a 1HP (750W) brusheless motor as supplied on the 7x14 and with some of the rigidity and vibration damping improvements I've made/got in train, there may be some headroom for increased motor power, up to 1.5 HP, or maybe even 2 HP.

That said, if someone in the UK said to me they had limited space and budget and definitely wanted to buy new, I'd recommend paying a little extra for the Warco WM180. It'd still need a bit of fit and finish sorting on it, but just looking at the width of the bed alone, you can see that it will have rigidity that you just can't get the 7xs to, no matter what you try.

Okay, the WM180 is 2 inches less between centres than a 7x14 but it seems to me, for many hobbyists in the UK, it's less the distance between centres but the centre height that is the more important. Also once you get below 20 inches, I'm not sure that the difference of 2 inches between centres is likely to be that critical. Unless it is, obviously, but that will be less common that a need for better rigidity. ;)

I am.

But I also accidentally hit 'post' too soon and so I've edited my post now to add all the rest of the waffle I wanted to add.

I noticed.. BTW, that "missing 2 inches" on the WM180? enough of a difference in space for me to put up with the 7x............ At least for now.
