Oh, I like that! I've actually been ruminating on something for a similar purpose, but I keep drawing mental blanks. I might try to copy your idea. Hope you don't have it patented.

Regards,
Terry
Patent number 007.
FYI, I drilled the mounting holes to fit the handle mounts for the toolbox.

Now, drilling the holes that way is another great idea. That alone is worth the price of the patent. (By the way, what do charge to allow reproductions?)

Terry- those are very nice! How did you do the large holes? Twist drill annular cutter or boring head?

I've discovered serendipity. Step drills produce "tapers" that are reasonably close fits for ER collets. Here are some racks I made for my ER16 and ER32 collets. The white material is 1x4 (nominal) expanded PVC baseboard material from Lowes. They don't have many sizes, but this one is handy. Haven't seen this stuff at Home Depot.

That looks like a great material to play with. I have been hoarding the plastic cutting boards when I see them cheap.

Got the plasma table assembled and wired up. Had a few issues with the Hobart electrical interface, as mine doesn't have the plug and play connections on the plasma cutter (Hobart 40i). After a little head scratching, and finding the wiring diagram for the plasma cutter, got it hooked up. Now I seem to be having an issue with the HP refurbished mini-tower that I bought to run the system. Can't seem to hookup to wifi, and and the operating screen for the plasma table won't upload to the computer. Sent an e-mail to the computer support people, so we will see what happens there. Spent the better part of two days clearing junk out of the shop and rearranging things for the table set up in it's temporary location. It will be going into the welding and fab area once that space is finished. Not a lot of progress, but going in the right general direction. Cheers, Mike

The have decided to work on my mule
Years ago i removed the recoil starting system and installed a electric starter, alternator and Electric syste.
The mule had sat for about 5 year.
today is decited to finish the project.
installed new battery, tried to turn over the engine starter wouldn’t work. After a couple hours of playing with it I replaced the battery cables, now that the starter is working property it is Time to focus on the fuel system.
remover the gas tank. Removed the mechanical fuel pump. Made a blank plate. Bent a new fuel line from the. Gas filter to the carburetor ( tight space) I used brake tubing. Turned out better than I was expectin.
next is to install gas line from the gas tank to a pre electric fuel pump, and make a bracket to mount the filter and pump.

Talking about the elephant in the room. There is a white elephant in my shop today, it's my brother's car, this thing has the habit of braking in weird ways then healing, but this time it has something more severe with it, one of the front tires is staying at a very weird angle, he bent a control arm or the spindle. It also started to die and won't restart. I'm suspecting he might jumped a curb or dich and causes undercarriage damage.

Oh, I like that, John! I have both of those step drills. I'll need to play with that. Very nice work, and a great discovery.

But sorry. I just don't get what 'Serendipity' has to do with it.

Never had their chocolate. Is it any good?

Regards,
Terry

Ha Ha Ha - This Old Tony used serendipity in one of his videos too. Great word in this context - and funny!
