Got no choice now as I already drilled the darned hole too big!!

I managed to fix the clutch cable on my 605, i had to shorten the cable shell and made new adjustment rod on my lathe, then when i measured it i was still 1/2" short, so i made me a special bolt to reach inside the fork. I did weld the adjuster to the old cable and had to use an nut on the inside as a lock nut. You can see i had to remove the airbox, battery, battery tray and undo couple of cable just to gain access.

The inspection pit is getting its use. This vehicle is the one my brother got for parts to keep his white elephant going. The body is in good shape but its going to get scraped, the drivetrain and electrics are more valuable for as use. Some of you can guess what make and model it is, it was sold in the US also. The main reason that made this car a parts car was small ding in the front bumper, non working ABS and ESP and bad / noisy lifters in the engine. The inspection pit made my hardest job much easier, Taking off the exhaust and loosening the rear axle and subframe bolts, taking off the fuel and brake lines, with only the first catalytic converter i drove it to the big garage where i'll be striping it, i don't think i'll document that process, you've seen me part out a car in few days before, son no need to repeat it again.

Got tired of stray light inside the helmet so did a quick hack with scrap fabric and binder clips. Looks like it will do the job.

Made a cheesy hand scraper. 1/8 x 1/4 x 5/8 carbide blank brazed on to a 1/8 x 1/2 chunk of mild steel. It’s a little springy, could use a bigger handle, and isn’t so bad for my first time ever brazing.

Will try it out on the compound slide of my mini lathe and see how it works. Might make a better one tomorrow - this was surprisingly easy.
