Ha Ha The inside is painted. The first try at it I had some issue with my gun and got a bunch of runs. I wasn't able to wet sand them out so I had to re-paint about half of it. I'm pretty rusty and it still isn't great but it is what it is at this point. The front turned out best which is what I'll see the most so that is good. I had to pick up a cheap HF gun this morning as my good gun is totally messed up.

20160305_195123.jpg This isn't my work but I thought I'd share, it's a lifting bracket for a 1000lb airplane wing, for a set of 3, you could buy a new mill, about 12gs. FAA regs drive up the cost I guess. But these are gonna cost his customer about grand for the set, one piece A36.

I managed to get some shop time yesterday and today.
Cast and machined some lead ballast slugs for a model glider:

Will add about 950 grams to the model when all the slugs are done (still one more to do in the photo) which will make it a lot faster when the wind blows hard.

Also I finally found my roundtoit and finished up my acute tool rest kit, so now I have a nice adjustable tool rest with options to set angles and all sorts.

Funny thing is I purchased the kit instead of the finished unit to save some money and end up with some more machining experience.
I ended up buying a mill (rf-25 clone) and tooling to complete the project, so I really did not save that much money :) However the experience gained is priceless so it's all good in the end.

Now I need to buy a grinder to use the tool rest with ( dont laugh) as the one I have is to small to make use of the rest.

Hope you enjoyed the photos :)

Time to look for the next project :)

Costs $$ for schooling, as the collection of tooling/machines grow. It is a hobby.:) And the savings increase:big grin::laughing:

Found a little shop time this week, got the height adjusters, vertical bars, head clamp all made. The dove tail parts are also done. I got one of the blanks made up for the balls that allow the table to tilt in all directions. H.H. made his out of plastic Mine are going to be AL. Finishing the balls and turning the radius in the adjuster and clamping bars are next up. I plan on using the ball turner to cut the concaved pocket for the balls to sit in.

Sorry no pics at this time I will try to get some of all the parts soon.

Cute. Looking forward to getting home and seeing them in the yard again. Mike
