With my Wusthof santoku knife, I carved up some green beans, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, red onions and spinach.
Sauteed them in butter/olive oil in a covered skillet.
I fortified it with kosher salt, course black pepper and 2 oz. of sliced hickory smoked chicken breast from my smoker.

I've been on a life saving diet and exercise plan since New Year's day fending off diabetes and a fat ass. I've lost 25 pounds, so far. 15 more pounds to my goal weight of 180 pounds. I had to go purchase smaller pants today.

OH my that looks good! What time is dinner?

That looks good, and I need to do the same thing. Had lost 20 but then back started acting up again and gained it all back.
keep it up, you should feel better or at least I did while I had it off.

Wonderful effort! And the meal looks delicious too.

I've lost 25 lbs also for much the same reason. Hoping for another 25-35 lbs to bring me down to 200-205 lbs.
All the charts want me to be significantly lighter than that. I've been that weight (not for a long, long, long time) and looked like a holocaust victim literally. I'm at my 'best' weight when I'm at 205 and that's close to the military weight for a 6'-2" old guy.

My compressor is standing up in the garage. So today I re-plumbed it so I could turn air on in the basement where my workshop is. While I was at it I hooked up the automatic reel that a friend had got me for my birthday. ( It's been sitting in the garage since late April ). Worked out well since I actually had all the fittings and valves. Good thing I don't throw that stuff out. I now have enough hose to reach the other side of the neighbors. LOL

I was helping friends install new flooring in their bathroom last fall. When I was reinstalling the toilet I discovered that the new flooring was just tall enough that the toilet bolts no longer quite reached. So close! But if I replaced the thick washer with a thin one I could make it work. And it's a 1/4"-20 bolt, so the washer is a pretty common size. Too bad I have all those organized in the garage instead of my truck. But the guy is a printer/copier repairman for a living, so who knows?

"Do you guys have any washers about this size?"

"No, we just throw away that kind of stuff when we have extras."

I was in absolute shock. That someone could make such a choice had never even occurred to me. What a sad life they must live. :(

;)

Wife gest upset with me at times for saving all that stuff, That is until she needs something fixed and I just happen to have the stuff that will work saved out in the shop somewhere. But by the next day it is back to the complaining.

I do occasionally throw some stuff out. But usually after I start running out of room and then it's usually the stuff that I haven't gotten around to repairing because it needs something bought to fix it that may cost a bit or it's just not worth repairing anymore.
