Last night I knocked a quick little project out for a fellow forum member on another forum who needed a pin machined for a VW spindle.

Here is the mechanical drawing of the pin along with some .5" O1 drill rod that I grabbed from my metal bin.


Stock chucked up for facing.


Stock faced off.


Measuring off the dimension to be turned down.


Micing the diameter after first rough cut.


Turning to target diameter.


Parting off.


Pin completed and ready to mail off.

That's a cool mod Mike. I've seen those old VW spindles fold up like a cheap lawn chair if wheels with more offset are used.

I restored a mechanics vise & a pipe vise. Mounted them to a steel pedestal. Hope to find a good home for it.

I made a 22lr rim thickness comparator that fits my dial calipers. Now I can sort them to see what my rifle shoots best and maybe eliminate some of the flyers. h

Nothing too fancy. Made some covers for my mill table and a storage box for my 5c collets.
