There were two projects for the day. Both of them were very simple; but one was sort of mysterious.
My brother came over today with a chunk of granite, a grinder, and a grinder wheel that could cut granite. The granite was a bit of left-over from the ongoing remodel of their kitchen. He proceeded to cut the granite to make a very sturdy mount for my Sherline mill.

Then some holes were drilled in the granite. Those holes required my 'strength', also known as my mass (or my fat ass), to drill. If we had a hammer drill, and not a Craftsman 3/8" sheet rock capable drill, then Bob would have been our Uncle.
The project was great for me. I now have a really solid mount for my little mill. Kudos to my brother, I say.

The second project, or project B if you prefer, was making a vertical cross support for a wire drawer that needed it's existing cross supports removed such that it would work someplace. The project is for my brother's kitchen, at the request of my brother's wife. For some reason, this reminds me of Robert May's spherical horse.
As I said, I have no idea why, but here is the result:
I do the best I can, given limited information. By the way, this is another Ikea hack.
Cheers,
Tom
