What is the easiest method you have found for cutting inside the foot and getting it to stay on? I have several that need new ones as well.

Better late than never .
On the Record G clamps that I have , the foot attaching device is a bored hole . The thin end of the foot is crimped in three places over the ball end of the screw. It's a good idea to put a glob of thick grease over the ball or down the hole before you crimp it as this can help keep the foot at a required angle when tightening the clamp up as well as lubing the foot when it's under pressure.

Crimping up on the replacement feet is is often done by having it assembled & screwed up tight . Support the web of the anvil in a big meaty vice and use an all steel square ground screwdriver as a chisel , then give it three equal distance crimps down on the foot lip so you swage the thin metal over the ball in one simple blow ( using a medium hammer )

By the way ..... Record clamps are usually coated in a vibrant " Royal blue " colour as shown above electric_blue.png

Decided the bike needed a little love. New tires, pack wheel bearings, new chain, and brake pads, and find the primary drive leak. The leak turned out to be the starter shaft seal, waiting on parts. Been riding this one 30 yrs, where does the time go?P1000556.JPG P1000555.JPG Mike

Been working on a brass sorting machine for my son who works at a gun range. Built the hopper system yesterday. Today figured out how to get the right sizebrass in the right bucket. Got that all set up and just finished tearing it all apart to start cleaning up the welds and start painting it. Hopefully be done and ready to deliver next week.

And where are the pictures? Sounds like an interesting machine, would love to see it.

Yes, unless your design is proprietary, I'd love to see it. Sorting can be challenging for a machine design.

Flag Pole.JPG Bench 3.JPG Been doing a few things this week, SWMBO is gone for a month to help out her Dad so I can do things with out her complaining.
Built a Politically correct flag pole and a Ham Radio Bench. Now I need to clean up the mess I made in here.

Old iron, thank you for flying that damn flag, I love it. I could go on and on and on about that subject lol, again, thank you.

Drilled and taped 4 3/8 X 24 holes through a 5/8" steel ( A 36 I think) bracket I am making to revamp a portable generator that has damaged engine. Bracket is 5/8" thick. 5.5" wide 8" high. I mounted a 1-3/8" flange bearing on one side and the generator bell housing on the other side. Will drill the mounting holes in the bottom of the bracket tomorrow.
