Yeah there is definitely some loss in rigidity, case in point, with a tenth indicator in the spindle, push down on the back of the ram. Now, the larger knee Mills are pretty rigid, the older proto trak k4 doesn't nod.
I've been using a folding name brand bipod for years but now I'm getting into long-range shooting I wanted something with a wider and more stable base. After pricing them I decided to make my own. I'll be adding different feet after testing it out to see what I'm going to like best.
