Yeah, this can be a little counter-intuitive at times. It's very much like using a depth micrometer -- the numbers get bigger where you're used to seeing them get smaller. I find it helps to start at a known number and walk the increments forward a bit to refresh the brain on which way they're going to go for a given action. I suspect if I used the depth mic more often it'd become second nature but because I don't I always have to have that little learning curve refresher at the beginning to get my head back on track.
