Yep I did it !

I work outside a lot and lose tools, usually they fall out of my pocket in transition to and from the project, then I find
them with the lawnmower after I replace them .......................

I know what you're going through! Although I don't think I'm very old at 42. I lost one of my trailer wheel lugs for two weeks. The only thing I could remember was that I had picked it up "for a reason" and set it down "somewhere".
After an hour working at the mill, I happened to nod off...err..look down and there that sucker sat, in amongst a bunch of milling clamps, and chips on top of my tooling cabinet.

I spend more time turning in circles looking for something I JUST put down than I do turning the cranks on my mill most nights.

I took a hard hit to the head in '96 while waterskiing, hard enough to knock my eyes out of alignment. It still affects me, if I sit back and relax I very easily see double from the lack of convergence. I often can't see something right in front of me without turning away and visually sweeping the bench while I turn back in. Frustrating!
