Some on site are known for causing this ............................not me of course . Axis runout in collet on a short shaft . You bore a soft collet with a perpendicular face . It's done and it will hold .

The Geometric die head is not absolutely necessary. It does reduce threading time. It is also possible to thread using a round die in a floating tailstock holder.

I just do it the old fashioned hand/manual way but I've been watching vids on all these items and wow, I love all these new gadgets. To start, I need to get me a 5c collet set and collet blocks. Love it. Gonna be broke soon.
