Where do I start grizzly G9748 milling & drilling machine

Not to sound silly, but wouldn't that mill run on a VFD make for a pretty nice variable speed machine?

YOU ARE PROBABLY 100% correct, but being that this is my first attempt at getting this up and running gotta go with what I know. For now.

Those SPECIAL threaded fuses are only allowed by code if you have a death wish. Think its listed in NEC section.......................

Ok now I am interested. In the vfd. How would that be hooked in the supply line. Will that interfer with phase converter ? Tell me more PLEASE

You would not need the phase converter. The vfd handles that, and the frequency varies the motor speed within limits can brake the motor to a stop etc. It could be set up at 60hz and none of the features used until you are ready to wire in all the other features you want. This was just a simple description
