new update on small planer---it is setting in the open now and I took better pictures with no snow now. I measured the bed and it is 36" long on the hold down table and 13" wide on the hold down table. it is a little wider than 16" between the uprights so a project 16" wide and 36" to maybe 40" long would be able to be planed. the V ways look nice and the table top looks nice with no nicks or boo-boo marks--it really doesn't show any wear, so it may not have been used a lot. well, I hope you enjoy these new pictures. it would look nice in any of your shops. the electric motor and mount look to maybe be a factory made improvement at a later date.

I do think the planer is similar to an old putnum, but I haven't seen any of the solid looking leg images on the putnums that Lester's has. I couldn't find any brand name on it ----just the Chas. Molitor brass tag machinery co. Chicago Ill. maybe someone will find an image of the leg bases that match.
Dave

I'll continue to monitor this planer.
If it doesn't sell before winter I may attempt to figure something out.
Meanwhile I sure wish he could at least get a tarp over her.
Please don't let him scrap her!!
