Saw blade tension and work force.

I keep my HF 4x6 tensioned to "sound" happy while cutting 3/4-1 inch steel. For smaller stock I lift up with a finger and for bigger stock I keep a stack of scrap on the saw tray for added weight on the cut. I have no idea what the cut force is but when it sounds right it works right.
