i know it has been discussed before (but, i forgot). what is the difference between a standard heavy 10 and a tool room heave 10.??

The leadscrew was made to higher precision, not sure what else

A lathe described as "tool room" is generally manufactured to tolerances half that of an ordinary "engine lathe", This comes from the book "Schlesinger's Universal Tolerances."

Amateur! If that's all it takes he's not qualified to be in the tool room.
I have to admit I can’t hold my liquor very well. As a kid I could go to the bar with $5.00 and come home with a good buzz and still have $3.00 in my pocket

On Fred's birthday, many years ago, we went out for pizza and beer at lunch. Sixteen of us drank 27 pitchers of beer. The machinists went back to work.
