i know it has been discussed before (but, i forgot). what is the difference between a standard heavy 10 and a tool room heave 10.??

The tool room heave is usually done running into the shop after a 4-martini or 6 pack lunch.

A lathe described as "tool room" is generally manufactured to tolerances half that of an ordinary "engine lathe", This comes from the book "Schlesinger's Universal Tolerances."

I might add that the distinction of being a "tool room" lathe becomes moot with wear and tear.
