There is no finger on the #6 position and does nothing but provide a handy place for connecting earth wires.
hope this what you meant.

Ah I see- you have what I call the "hockey stick" switch, minus one contact. Let me see if we can use that. I shall return
OK this should do the job:

And if you want to go back to the old motor:
note: move switch wire from 4 to 3 if rotation is backwards from handle

o.k.
I will run it by you to make sure I understand.
To run the New motor.
I need to take the bridges off the motor connectors and wire up the motor and power lead as drawn.
The thermal cut out /reset to live wire from power supply?
Earths to pole #6

To run the old motor

I tried to copy or keep and edit and repost the old motor drawing but
If you take the wire from the number 4 red dot and connect that to pole #3 then this is how it is wired and runs at present.
I do not know if it correct but it is how I got it.
most Things needed To be put together properly and adjusted on the old girl anyway.
The wiring could be the same.

Thanks for the help
I would never been able to figure out how to wire it by myself.
As I don’t tend to play with the big boys stuff over 12 or 24volts if I can figure things out.
Cheers
