Repairing Brass Threads In A Floor Sewer Washout Plug

How about gluing the existing plug in with a hydraulic sealant (569® Hydraulic Thread Sealant) - not regular thread sealant. That hydraulic sealant holds high pressure hydraulic circuits.
Or try a heavy duty gasket sealer or silicon? Even JB Weld.
 
I should add that if you use the hydraulic sealant you will not get the plug back off again without heat. A heat gun will probably do it but I would check with the mfgr first.
