True, but amazingly better performance. I put one on an 80" evo years ago and the difference was night and day, along with better mileage. Still have the carb and have plans to retrofit it to my 650 Kawie ATV . Mike
 
Better yet replace the S&S with a flat slide Mikuni. One of the best Harley upgrades IMHO. Mike
Oh no you don't! I had to work on a brother's Wide Glide getting it tuned. Never again! :disgust:

I work on them all the time. The biggest pita ones are the v4’s like my v45 and vmax 12…inline 4’s are a cakewalk after those monsters.

Try a jag 12 sometime if you really want to pull out some serious hair….I turn those down flat these days. Don’t need the hassle at my age anymore.
