Hello all. I found this face mill at a garage sale for $10. I would like to replace the inserts but there are no maker marks on any part of the set-up. No marks on the inserts either. Hardware is metric. Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Noob.

That almost looks like a homemade tool that uses brazed carbide lathe tooling. Cut off and drilled to fit the head. I've never seen anything like that in a catalog. Interesting to say the least.

When I bought an import bench top mill back in 2004 one of those face mills was in my tool kit. So I am guessing it is an inexpensive import. Not sure the inserts are available. You may have to do some internet searching.

Looks like it is from before the time of inserts when we only had brazed carbide. No reason what is there can’t be sharpened and used as is. That is one of the good point of brazed carbide is the ability to resharpen it.

My brazed bits are not only easy to resharpen they seem far more durable than my inserts. Resharpening those on my Checkel would be easy.

I'm guessing they are inserts. Drilling carbide isn't easy. Mike
