How Was This Milled?

This is a cap on a wood toyota show car. I cannot figure out how it was milled. Any ideas.

CNC, with a cutter that was horizontal with respect to the plane of the cap. The cap was rotated around its axis for each flute.

Dovetail cutter on a 4th axis, probably easily done on a manual machine with a print tho too
 
I'm not so sure that is created by a dovetail cutter. Look at each groove and it appears to end differently on each one. The width of each one is different. I bet that each groove is done by one cutter, no doubt, but the cutter changes angle from one side to another. Probably a small diameter mill, pointy maybe, done on a multi-axis mill, like a Mori-DMG 5 or 8 axis mill. That entire car is probably built using a multi-axis mill. Not our typical woodshop variety toys.
