Final Rebuild for 2012

Comcast is screwing up again. OK I have to add this. A misfire to us is more apt to be a blown blown plug. The engine will continue on one cylinder till the other side loads and the engine locke up. As I said it could have tried to reverse rotation and took out the cam gear. It's hard to tell once it's over.

So it hydro-locked due to unburnt fuel and the forces were then passed through the rod to the crank. It is what we see in Top Fuel engines at the drags. That explains. Thanks
Pierre

Yes Pierre, that is correct This was a rare case in that each cylinder has two glo plugs. Usually only one in a bank goes. You can nurse them to a stop. In this case they both blew. in one bank.

Can you give us an idea of the scale of that motor Bill?

Cheers Phil

The spinner is 3" in diameter. The prop is 15" in diameter. How's that?
