New wrinkle, now it seems the motor speed controller is acting odd. Cuts that were cake on Tuesday are bogging down and stalling the motor today, and start up and acceleration of the spindle seem generally 'off,' though not consistently. The only thing that's changed is our temps here in East Texas have crested over 100 degrees and it's also humid; anyone have experience with these cheaper machines getting wonky in the high temps? I'll do some quick tests before work tomorrow morning to see if the issues are still present.
Oh yeah, there's also an easily-measureable amount of run out on the spindle nose surfaces. Trying to find out what the 'acceptable' threshold from the factory is on these machines now, before I decide my next move. Really starting to regret this whole misadventure.
