I made a couple parts to convert my boring bar to a ball end turner. Here is the finished product. I purchased a 3/4" straight shaft arbor for the boring bar. I made the handle end cap so when it is tight there is just the slightest amount of drag.

I turned a piece for the cutter, 12mm one on end for the boring bar and 6mm for the for the RCMT 0602 cutters.

I'm planning on adding a handle, but it worked pretty well with just an Allen wrench in the end.

I did turn a little ball end just for kicks and grins.

Added a magnet and put it to use.

It's not finished yet, but it's all I got for now.

Thanks for looking.

A nice addition would be adjustable stops, as I did, but you would have to make the pivot shaft longer to accommodate the clamp on stops.

I finished up my ball turner project.

I always thought this would be cool, turning the head of the mill. It worked but kind of a PITA for one hole.

After I drilled and tapped the hole, I took a 7/16 end mill and bored it out a bit to hide the threads.

Doing a test fit on the handle and ball end.

And there it is, I was going to blacken the part that the handle screws into but decided I like it the way it is.
